We became a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) in January 2016 which resulted in a further name change – Wantage Independent Advice Centre, in the Vale for the Vale.
We started using our new trading name, Vale Community Impact, or, VCI in April 2021.
Today, October 2021, we have 120 volunteers including 40 volunteer Drivers and 40 volunteer Good Neighbours.
We are also recruiting for an additional part-time member of the staff team to take the lead with our fundraising, publicity and marketing activities.
In 2008 we received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
Vale Community Impact has 13 volunteer trustees who form the Management Committee, four of whom are nominated representatives from various Councils. The Chairman is Graham Beith.

Our 2020 Annual General Meeting was held in November via the Microsoft Teams platform due to Covid19 restrictions and guidelines. Our first virtual event was a success, with around 40 people participating.
