Please don’t let Covid19 stop you from contacting us about the Good Neighbour Scheme. There are still ways we and the volunteers can help. Loneliness and isolation is more of a worry that ever with the challenges being faced just now.
New referrals can be made by an individual, family member, friend, medical professional or a third party agency. If you are unsure, make the referral for our co-ordinators to consider. We will ask that, where appropriate, the individual is aware that a referral is being made.
From July 2021, our Good Neighbour Scheme introduced a new Shopping Service. One of our volunteers can do your shopping for you, take you to the shops, offer a little extra help as you navigate the store aisles or teach you how to use the computer to do an on-line shop.
Everyone who joins the Shopping Service will have a home visit before the service starts to make sure everything is clear and understood.
