CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19

Face to face advice sessions have been offered since April. Our drop-in advice sessions will be restarting on 9th August. Our preference will still be for face to face appointments to be pre-booked though. Please bear with us as we are trying to manage the number of people in the building so you may be asked to wait outside or come back a little later.

Our Transport service has been running throughout the whole pandemic. Many of the specific Covid19 procedures have now been lifted, but we would ask you to remain cautious and respect the wishes of the volunteer driver with regards to mask wearing and seating.  Everything we have put in place is to enable our volunteer drivers to take clients to medical appointments and day care centres as safely as possible.

Our Good Neighbour scheme has also operated throughout. Home assessments for new clients are taking place again and the volunteer befrienders are seeing clients in their own homes and face to face again.

The office is sanitised daily with a Smartmister system.

Transport

We have a number of volunteer drivers available for essential drives such as medical care and prescriptions. Please contact us and we will try to help with transport. If we are not able to assist, we will try to find an alternative option through our network of contacts.

Thanks to the wonderful support of our volunteer drivers, we are able to take people to their Covid19 vaccination appointments, including at short notice and if the appointment falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

We are sorry for any inconvenience but these times require extreme measures, that we have not taken lightly, to keep clients and volunteers as safe as we can.
